On July 21, our Chair and GSG Impact Trustee Şafak Müderrisgil, together with our Secretary General Tuğçe Söğüt, participated in the 2025 Sustainability Standards Conference held in Frankfurt by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) to follow the latest developments in the field of sustainability.

Representing Türkiye — one of the first countries to integrate ISSB Sustainability Standards into national legislation — Gülşah Günay, Head of the Sustainability Standards Department at the POA, contributed as a panelist. Following the remarks of ISSB Chair Emmanuel Faber, ISSB board members and representatives from institutions such as Deutsche Bank, BAFIN, EIOPA, and IESBA discussed the impact of sustainability reporting on global finance.

The conference was structured around regulation, research, and implementation, with the aim of supporting global alignment in sustainability reporting.

The insights gained from this gathering continue to inform our efforts to build a comprehensive infrastructure for sustainability reporting.
