A Message on Climate and Energy Transition from London: “The Real Need Is Not Capital, but Bankable Projects”

As part of London Climate Action Week 2026, EYDK participated in the “Türkiye Energy Transition Investment Forum”, hosted by the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Bloomberg and Energy Shift Capital on 24 June.

Şafak Müderrisgil, Chair of EYDK and Trustee of GSG Impact, joined the panel “Financing Türkiye’s Energy Transition: Where Capital Meets Opportunity”.

During the discussion, she highlighted that:

Türkiye’s Renewable Energy 2035 Roadmap presents a significant opportunity for a resilient and competitive economy,
The key challenge is not a lack of capital, but the need for investable and measurable project pipelines,
Through its proposed Türkiye Climate Adaptation and Resilience Investment Coalition, EYDK aims to help transform adaptation and resilience needs into investment opportunities.
