Two different continents, different dynamics and priorities, yet coming together around a shared vision for a common future: 🇹🇷 Türkiye and 🇦🇺 Australia.

On 10 September, Tuğçe Söğüt, Secretary General of EYDK and Australian Consul General in Istanbul Tony Huber participated in the session “Towards COP31: From Climate Ambition to Implementation” at ChangeNOW Hubs Istanbul, where they explored the distinctive model Türkiye and Australia are shaping towards COP31.

🤝 It was highlighted that the shared responsibility Türkiye and Australia will take on throughout the COP31 process could not only strengthen cooperation between the two countries, but also serve as a valuable experience for international climate partnership.

The session also addressed the importance of turning climate commitments into tangible action, alongside the critical role of finance and strong partnerships, in line with the vision of COP31 as an “Implementation COP.”
