The Impact Investing Advisory Board (EYDK), aiming to foster the development of the impact investing model in Türkiye and create a well-functioning impact investing ecosystem, continues its efforts in collaboration with leading institutions in the sector.

EYDK, which continues its efforts to shape and advance Türkiye’s impact investing story, is hosting the first “EYDK Impact Investing Summit” this year on May 23-24, 2024, at Boğaziçi University. This summit offers opportunities to explore the rapidly evolving ecosystem of impact investment within and beyond Türkiye’s borders and to establish new collaborations.

At the 1st Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Impact Investing Advisory Board, held in Istanbul on April 25 2024, with the participation of all EYDK members, the executive board and board of supervisors were appointed for the 2024-2027 period. 

Through the decisions we have undertaken to foster the development of the impact investing ecosystem, we aim to make substantial contribution to environmental and societal benefit. By collaborating together, we will take significant strides towards a more sustainable and equal world.

 “Sunshine of Şanlıurfa” Project successfully completed by EYDK in partnership with TGMP within the scope of ENHANCER project, which is funded by the European Union and coordinated by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) under the coordination of the General Directorate of Development Agencies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.

The project aimed to establish sustainable partnerships among stakeholders in the region, enhance capacity in the field of entrepreneurship, and increase social cohesion by facilitating the participation of Syrian and local women in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The final case study report prepared within the project is intended to serve as a guide for institutions implementing similar projects. The report presents global, national, and local perspectives on women’s entrepreneurship and employment, providing a broader view of the current situation, followed by evaluations of the ‘Sunshine of Şanlıurfa’ project. The report also includes surveys conducted to measure the efficiency of the ToT (Training of Trainers) given to TGMP personnel and the entrepreneurship training given to women beneficiaries in the region. The last part of the report includes a toolkit prepared for institutions that will implement similar projects.

Impact Investing Advisory Board (EYDK) visited The Banks Association of Türkiye. During the meeting with The Banks Association of Türkiye, which includes key players in the Impact Investing Ecosystem, contributions of the banking sector on the advancement of the impact economy were addressed. National and international developments, the pivotal role of the EYDK, and potential collaboration initiatives were discussed.
